LSE Team Members - March Edition: Naureen Ullah our Client Support Manager South East

At LSE, we have a diverse and talented team with skills in different areas to fulfil all our obligations of providing remarkable frameworks and a fantastic service. This month we want to introduce Naureen Ullah, our Client Support Manager for the South East region. We want to share how her work contributes to and improves the journey for our clients and our community.

About the Project

Naureen Ullah, our Client Support Manager for the South East Region, is currently heavily supporting the Energy Efficiency works framework (N8) and the Energy Efficiency Consultancy framework (N8C) pilot projects with her clients. She also takes care of all our other frameworks for the South East region. The framework's development process involves client and supplier relationships and advising them about the best direction to take. Naureen manages many clients and is the first point of contact for guidance and answering essential queries.

Naureen states, 'my role consists of sharing lessons learnt from previous projects and providing the most up-to-date information to our public sector clients. This way, we can achieve the commitment to the net zero targets.

Naureen is passionate about the Green agenda and helping the public sector in meeting the key deadlines. Her experience working in renewables in the private sector has given her a greater understanding and insight into what renewables and fabric first approaches are required.

Coupled with her direct experience in the social housing sector and understanding of the development process, she can provide clients with the best advice to achieve net zero carbon and decarbonisation steps and get value for money against the costs of retrofitting.

Mission

  • Achieving decarbonisation and net zero carbon deadlines – with the right approach.
  • Expertise from lessons learned.
  • To deliver better buildings and homes that help improve communities living conditions.
  • Incorporate social value, local employment, and local representation and reduce professional inequalities through appointments to the framework.

Naureen's Client Support Role

Naureen's role involves being a central point of contact for clients, suppliers, contractors, and consultants.

She is a trusted advisor for our clients, guiding them to procure their projects through the framework whilst following the OJEU compliance process. She is also a pivotal extension to our suppliers, contractors, and consultant's Business Development team, coordinating the next steps in the process.

Naureen's duties extend to sharing the pipeline with the supply chain team to encourage their involvement in a mini competition for each call-off and ensure that sufficient bids are returned, thus benefitting the client in achieving value for money.

Impact

With the global air quality deteriorating and our planet facing climate change, the public sector's decarbonisation of buildings has become a high priority to meet the government's net zero targets. By introducing the public sector to our Energy Efficiency (N8) and Energy Efficiency Consultancy (N8C) frameworks and helping them through the process of using them, we can make a difference to the environment our community live in for the long term.

If you want to discuss future public sector construction projects in the South East and learn more about our frameworks, contact Naureen Ullah at Naureen.ullah@lhc.gov.uk.
