LHC and Southwark Council Partnership

LHC and Southwark Council are partnering to create a new framework which will be available to all public sector authorities in London who require architect design services. The new Architect Design Services (ADS) Framework aims to promote innovation through design and by partnering, LHC and Southwark Council are combining experience and expertise to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and quality of the procurement and delivery of architectural projects across London.

This project is a proposed partnership with LHC and led by the Southwark Regeneration team, with a broader scope, to deliver new homes as well as landscape design, commercial, industrial, social care and other requirements. The objective is to develop a framework appointing Architects of all sizes and experience who will be committed to working with Southwark and other London contracting authorities to create good quality public sector design for the 2020s.  The framework will have low financial thresholds to make it more accessible for smaller providers and various sub-lots for low-value fee work.

Read Councillor Leo Pollak’s discussion on the framework in the Architects Journal here.

The two partnering organisations have undergone extensive Pre-Tender Engagement and are finalising the framework scope and specification as a response to market feedback.

If you are interested in applying to be on the framework, we advise you to register on Tenders Electronic Daily if you haven’t already, and on the ProContract portal (https://procontract.due-north.com/Login) to receive an update when the tender is published. We will also add you to our mailing list, and for future enquiries you can contact the LHC mailbox at info@lhc.gov.uk.

If you are a contracting authority in London interested in this framework, please contact jennifer.castle@lhc.gov.uk for more information.

This will form one part of a Professional Services Framework that LHC are looking to release in early 2020. If you are interested in joining the steering committee for this framework and learn from the experience gained in the ADS framework partnership with Southwark Council, then please contact Jennifer Castle at LHC.
