John Skivington has made a decision to retire early from LHC

After 17 years’ service at LHC, our Group Director, John Skivington has made a decision to retire early. John will remain in the business for a while to complete some key LHC projects but hopes to be handing over the reins to his successor by next Spring, giving John time to pursue other interests, including his long-held passion for community-led housing initiatives.

John leaves LHC in great shape. We have five strong regional business units and an unrivalled technical procurement centre with exciting plans to support the industry through the Covid recovery period, working together to deliver safer, greener buildings and homes for a fairer society.

Through lockdown we have continued to invest in our business and our people. Over the last 12 months we have remotely recruited 21 new staff, launched 4 new frameworks and procured around £300m of new works and services across 600 project sites.

We are now seeking an interim Managing Director to oversee the day-to-day operations while John is focused on his projects and the recruitment process for his successor. More details to follow.
